02 - Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each waffle.
03 - Place 2 waffles, buttered side down, on a cutting board.

08 - Slice in half and serve warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The crispy waffle exterior creates the most incredible texture contrast with that melty cheese inside
  • It hits every single craving at once sweet salty crunchy warm and comforting
02 -
  • Do not skip softening the butter first or you will tear up your waffles trying to spread it
  • Keep the heat at medium because the sugar in the waffles burns faster than regular bread
03 -
  • Use a spatula to press down gently while cooking so the waffle makes full contact with the skillet
  • If your waffles are thick slice them horizontally first to create thinner more manageable sandwiches
