Patriotic layered gelatin cups with creamy vanilla center, chilled and topped with berries and whipped topping.

# What You'll Need:

→ Red Layer

01 - 1 (3-ounce) box strawberry or cherry-flavored gelatin
02 - 1 cup boiling water
03 - 1/2 cup cold water

→ White Layer

04 - 1 (3-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
05 - 1 1/4 cups cold milk
06 - 1 cup whipped topping, plus additional for garnish (optional)

→ Blue Layer

07 - 1 (3-ounce) box berry blue-flavored gelatin
08 - 1 cup boiling water
09 - 1/2 cup cold water

→ Garnish (optional)

10 - Fresh blueberries and sliced strawberries
11 - Additional whipped topping
12 - Sprinkles

# Directions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, dissolve the red gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water and mix. Evenly divide the mixture among 8 small clear cups. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour or until set.
02 - Combine instant vanilla pudding mix and 1 1/4 cups cold milk in a separate bowl. Whisk for about 2 minutes until smooth and thickened. Gently fold in 1 cup whipped topping. Once the red layer is fully set, spoon the pudding mixture over the red layer in each cup and spread gently. Chill for 30 minutes.
03 - In a clean bowl, dissolve the blue gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir well, then incorporate 1/2 cup cold water. After the white layer has set, carefully pour or spoon the blue gelatin mixture onto the white layer. Return the cups to the refrigerator.
04 - Refrigerate assembled cups for 2 to 3 hours, or until all layers are fully set.
05 - Before serving, top with additional whipped topping, fresh berries, and sprinkles as desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • This treat is even easier to assemble than it looks — the layers impress guests without any pastry skills required.
  • They double as both dessert and decoration, brightening up the entire party table.
02 -
  • If you rush the layers, the colors will blend into a purple swirl — standing guard at the fridge pays off.
  • Let each layer cool enough so it doesn't melt the one below; a quick test with a fingertip is my standby trick.
03 -
  • Aim for patience when chilling layers—totally worth it for clean color lines.
  • Adding pudding instead of cream cheese for the white sets up faster and keeps things light.
